A World Trade Center view no longer exists by the beginning of “WTC View,” Brian Sloan’s uneven account of tentative love and palpable loss in the weeks after 9/11. That description nearly found its way into a “seeking roommate” classified ad that Eric (Nick Lewis) placed on Sept. 10, 2001. By the time phone calls start coming in about the apartment, of course, this potential selling point has been reduced to two smoldering piles of rubble just a dozen or so blocks away. Much of “WTC View,” which is at 59E59 Theaters as part of its Americas Off Broadway series, is devoted to the potential roommates for Eric, a gay man in his early 30s who is only gradually disentangling his own innate anxieties and fears from those generated by the attacks.
