Noises Off
Opening Night: November 1, 2001
Closing: September 1, 2002
Theater: Brooks Atkinson
Michael Frayn’s landmark comedy, Noises Off continues its Broadway revival with an all-new cast. The play follows the on- and off-stage antics of a touring company as they fumble from dress rehearsal to disastrous last night of their production of the sex comedy, Nothing On. Everything that can go wrong does, as the cast desperately tries to hang on to their lines, their performances and the furniture, resulting in a hilarious descent into chaos. Jeremy Sams directs.

BREATHLESSNESS, vertigo and that scary-sweet exhilaration of being out of control: there are few highs to equal the experience of floating in the upper altitudes of comedy. In the spectacularly funny new revival of ”Noises Off,” Michael Frayn’s peerless backstage farce, there are moments when everyone — onstage and in the audience — seems to be riding the same runaway roller coaster.
