From a show called “The Deepest Play Ever: The Catharsis of Pathos,” you’d expect overstatement, and that’s what you get with Geoffrey Decas O’Donnell’s musical satire, revived at the New Ohio Theater and retooled from a 2006 incarnation. What you don’t get is boredom, given its phantasmagorical riffing on Brecht’s “Mother Courage” (among countless influences cited in the program). Oh, there are more subtitles: “The Post-Post-Apocalyptical Allegory of Mother LaMadre and Her Son Golden Calf or: Zombies Will EAT Your Brain! An Epic Tragidramedy.”
