Read that an actress has made a play out of her own experiences as a stroke survivor, and you might presume it’s a pity-me monologue or self-congratulatory piece about overcoming adversity. But “Struck,” a work with that pedigree at Here Arts Center, defies those expectations. Instead, it is a bracing sort of stage poetry, an almost hallucinatory assemblage of dreams, fears and memories. It’s an effort to capture the experience of a stroke and a recovery, not as they would have been observed by a second party, but from the inside.
