“Benito Cereno” has so much to say. Based on a novella by Herman Melville, the play, by the poet Robert Lowell, is keen to rail against oppression and condemn political hypocrisy. It’s a pity, then, that the stagey production by the Horizon Theater Rep sometimes muffles the script’s voice.
